The Commercial Loan Booker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the loan booking and funding process. Ensures that all loans are entered into the system accurately and correctly. Reviews loan documentation and funding requests, and contributes to the quality control effort and system review for ensuring that all loans are correctly funded and documented in accordance with the loan approval procedures and the bank’s established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensures loans are booked properly to the core system according to the final set of loan documents and loan approval.
· Processes payments, disbursements, changes, and other transactions in accordance with final loan documents.
· Performs quality reviews of Commercial loan files for accuracy as it relates to compliance with bank loan policies and procedures.
· Maintains knowledge of all aspects of Commercial loan documentation, understanding of legal entities and loan documents such as notes, security agreements, loan/credit agreements, etc.
· Reviews final documents for completion and accuracy and ensures credit approval memo, loan approval system and credit agreement are consistent.
Competencies Required:
· Extensive knowledge of commercial and business banking loans with a strong understanding of accounting principles, loan processing procedures, and related regulations.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) and ability to navigate loan and bank software applications and related websites.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy.
· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively research and resolve issues and discrepancies.
· Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
· Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
· 1+ years of Commercial loan operations required..
· Middle Market and Participations/Syndications preferred.
Formal Education & Certification:
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other closely related field preferred.
Work Status:
· Full-Time.
Supervisory Responsibility:
· None.
Travel:
· 0% travel expected.
Working Conditions:
· Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
