Job Description - Commercial Loan Support

Position Summary

Provides assigned lender(s) with partnership-style support and assistance in all lending, business development, and other assigned or appropriate initiatives and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview applicants and/or complete loan applications for consideration by approving authorities.
  • Assist assigned lender(s) in developing relationships, selling products, delivering superior customer service, managing assigned portfolio, minimizing risks, and pursuing all performance goals and objectives.
  • Analyze financial data to forecast borrower success and loan profitability.
  • Know and apply the bank’s underwriting guidelines consistently and in compliance with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Accept and process loan requests promptly, using approved technology to optimum advantage, and complying with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Arrange and/or facilitate the timely and accurate closing of new loans and servicing existing loans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years in a lending and/or business development environment or equivalent.
  • Local residency, education, employment, public and community service, and other local market involvement are strong pluses.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Extensive knowledge/ aptitude related to spreadsheets, word processing, and other business and financial office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Dependable and a self-starter.
