Commercial Painting Specialist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Painting Specialist to join an established commercial renovation team in the Columbus area. This is a hands-on position working on a variety of commercial remodeling, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial painting experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working in existing buildings and occupied commercial spaces.
Responsibilities:
• Perform interior and exterior painting on commercial renovation projects.
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and priming.
• Apply paint, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Perform touch-ups, repainting, and finish work on existing walls, ceilings, doors, and trim.
• Ensure consistent coverage, clean lines, and high-quality finishes.
• Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces during painting.
• Work with project managers and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional painting experience.
• Previous commercial painting or renovation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, primers, paints, coatings, and application techniques.
• Experience with brush, roller, and spray applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to jobsites throughout the Columbus area.
