Commercial Pipefitter-Welder Helpers/Apprentices

Description

Rogers Building Solutions, Coastal Mechanical Business Unit, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking pipefitter-welder helpers/apprentices to work in the Boca Raton area of Florida. These helpers could be eligible for our in-house, free apprentice program. Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction in which the workers learn the aspects of a trade, while they earn a living! This is a Safety Sensitive position

Requirements

• Some construction/pipefitting experience for helper position preferred but will train the right candidate.

• Follow safety procedures.

• Possibly eligible for FREE apprenticeship program with training for those with:

o A good work ethic and positive attitude

o Team player with an eagerness to learn

o An incentive to gain a fulfilling career

• Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed

Essential Functions:

· Climbing up and down ladders

· Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. –

· Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. –

· See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.

· Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance

· Work in heat and various other weather conditions

· Travel to current job sites within Florida
