Rogers Building Solutions, Coastal Mechanical business unit, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast and is currently seeking a Pipe fitter/Welding Superintendent to work on large commercial projects in the Tampa area. Work is primarily in the healthcare, educational, industrial and Government sectors. This role is imperative for ensuring that our quality piping systems are not only installed efficiently but also meet the technical and regulatory demands of healthcare and similar facilities. Vehicle allowance and gas card are included *if you qualify. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

• 10 years + experience in copper and pipe welding

• Expert knowledge of all aspects of hydronic systems

• Management of the following:

o Project scheduling and coordination

o Compliance and quality control

o Health and Safety in accordance with OSHA standards and implementation

o Budget and cost control of projects ranging from 2 M to 10 M

o Technical problem solving

o Stakeholder communication both internal and external

o Equipment and personnel management

• Must have managed crews of 10 plus and be able and willing to assist/mentor.

· ICRA and OSHA 30 a plus, but will provide no cost training for the right candidate

• Knowledgeable in screw pipe and weld pipe and of all fitting take outs for screw and weld fittings.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Ability to install copper piping to reheats and FCUs.

• Victaulic experience is preferred.

• Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed *Must possess clean and valid driver’s license.

• Ability to speak, read, and understand English. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Essential Functions:

• Climbing up and down ladders

• Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time.

• See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.

• Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance

• Work in heat and various other weather conditions

• Travel to current job sites within Florida
