Magnolia Companies is looking for a full-time, deadline-driven Commercial Plumbing Superintendent to manage our Special Projects in the field. The expectation is to oversee our Commercial Special projects on site and to act as the link between various project parties. The plumbing superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site. Additionally, they must manage all of the trades and subcontractors hired for the job. The plumbing superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on-site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. They will ensure high quality standards are met. In addition this person will track and confirm all equipment and materials are available on-site at to maintain schedule milestone dates. They will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals of various kinds. Keeping the job on time and budget along with following the plans and specifications is necessary. The plumbing superintendent must be able to read plans, write a schedule, post 5-week outlooks, Daily site logs, Weekly job site recaps, coordinate by email with the office staff.  

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand the scope of work and ensure feasible and      efficient plumbing installations. 
• Manage and assign tasks to plumbing crews, monitor progress, and ensure they follow safety protocols and have the      necessary training. 
• Inspect plumbing installations regularly to ensure they meet project specifications, blueprints, and local plumbing codes. 
• Ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols, including providing appropriate safety equipment and conducting training. 
• Identify and address issues or problems that arise during construction, ensuring efficient resolution. 
• Understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents. 
• Coordinate with plumbing subcontractors, managing their work and ensuring it aligns with the project schedule. 
• Monitor project costs and schedules, ensuring the project stays on track and within budget. 

Requirements

• Journeyman Plumbing/Gasfitting license **Preferred Master License**
• DOT Card
• Confined Space cert
• OSHA 30-hour
• Previous leadership of a team experience (5 or      more)
