The Commercial Portfolio Manager is responsible for assisting an assigned Commercial Relationship Manager in managing a portfolio of existing and prospective client relationships to ensure adherence to credit policy and follow up on all facets of the sales process for the life of the client relationship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Manage an assigned credit portfolio of approximately $100MM or greater.
- Assist Lending Officers with processing and servicing commercial loan relationships, including performing timely financial analysis / underwriting for loan renewals, annual reviews, and modifications (extensions, waivers, amendments, etc.), and new loan requests within the framework of OFB’s loan credit policies and desired risk profile.
- Assist CRM’s with ordering appraisals, flood determinations, credit reports, title searches/policies, environmental site assessments and data searches, including reviewing these items for accuracy and any potential issues or concerns
Requirements
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM’s) with the ongoing maintenance of portfolio reviews to proactively assure credit quality.
- Responsible for tracking tickler items and client follow-up on outstanding documents.
- Renewal tracking and opportunity memo update along with feedback from CRM.
- Tracking ongoing loan agreement requirements such as Demand Deposit Account, requirements.
- Prepare post approval change forms and circulation of documents for extensions, loan agreement changes, etc.
- Assist CRM’s with monitoring and collecting past due loans, preparing customer correspondence and graded credit memo updates.
- Perform preliminary financial analysis, address industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing,
- Conduct portfolio reviews to proactively assure credit quality
- Serves as sales partner with the CRM to assist with sales calls and maintaining customer relationships.
- Once deals are approved, help navigate the final diligence with the closing process in conjunction with closers and bank counsel
- Handle renewals in concert with the RM including shepherding deals though UW, diligence and closing
- Assisting with gathering of financials, rent rolls, personal real estate holdings, debt schedules, etc.
- Working the closing checklist provided by our Commercial Leave Administrators.
- Assisting Commercial Relationship Manager in the preparation and presentation of deal team packages, real estate worksheets, spreads, etc. in committee meetings.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field from four-year college or university
- 5-7 years’ experience as a relationship manager, credit analyst or similar occupation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
- Solid understanding of commercial banking credit policy, loan administration and underwriting requirements.
