Commercial Relationship Manager Associate

POSITION SUMMARY: The Relationship Manager Associate is responsible for supporting the overall Commercial Banking function by assisting loan officers as needed and providing a high level of customer support to commercial clients. This position will act is a liaison between commercial loan officers and other employees involved in the lending process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Services the commercial lending portfolio by responding to inquiries in a timely fashion.
2. Collects current financial information for existing and new clients. Collects any other relevant information that is required for credit preparation.
3. Performs credit reference request for clients.
4. Effectively communicate with loan processors and credit analysts. Handles pending items needed to prepare loan documents. 
5. Completes client maintenance matters to ensure concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
6. Assists in new client onboarding and smooth implementation of bank-wide products and services.
7. Serves as a notary for the bank.
8. Pulls the weekly pending list and works through exceptions.
9. Assists with clearing past due accounts by month-end, pulls weekly reports. 
10. Responsible for performing a broad variety of customer services such as opening depository accounts and cross-selling products.
11. Responsible for maintenance on business savings and checking accounts, assisting customers with loan inquiries, wire transfers, stop payments, and coordinates the appropriate forms with customers for ACH setup and wires. Monitors accounts to ensure customer is obtaining best services possible. 
12. Processing of daily overdrafts
13. Assists with expense requests and credit card reconciliations for officers within department
14. Conducts customer research, as requested. 
15. Serves as backup to Commercial Loan Officer as needed.
16. Able to understand and communicate loan documentation issues with loan officers to resolve potential closing concerns
17. Participates in loan closing process 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree preferred, preferably in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking is required. This position requires strong analytical, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills. Efficient computer skills and a command of typical business software preferred.   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Generally works within a typical office environment with moderate noise levels and temperatures, but requires the ability to adapt to other environments as may be encountered at a customer’s place of business. Requires the ability to operate all types of electronic office equipment. Generally a sedentary position, but requires the ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle, with occasional standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, stretching, stooping and manual dexterity using hands and fingers. Requires ability for extensive reading and viewing of paper documents and computer screens.

• This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with an expected pay range of $19.00 - $28.00 per hour.
