Job Description - Commercial Service Clerk


Join our Best-One team - now hiring a Commercial Service at our St. Louis, Brown Ave location.

Pay:  Will be based on experience.

We're looking for a Commercial Service Clerk who places an emphasis on creating results for teammates, customers, and the company. 

  

What you will be doing as a Commerical Service Clerk:

Responsible for answering service calls, collecting and processing payments, creating orders, and customer service to support service department with various tasks. 

  • Greet customers with a welcoming and positive attitude.
  • Answer incoming calls for the Service Department.
  • Take information for all service calls.
  • Create orders to have tires pulled for in-shop service and service calls.
  • Collect payments for in-shop customers and handle payment processing.
  • Follow up on all work completed, giving the customer progress updates, through work completion.
  • Maintain vendor records, ensuring up-to-date information is recorded in the system.
  • Know and follow prescribe policies and paperwork procedures (invoicing, credit, etc.).
  • Special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Commercial Service Clerk Requirement:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with tires is a plus.
  • Ability to perform all job functions that require lifting and carrying single items weighing at least 50 lbs., as well as functions and      activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced department.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and outline business needs.
  • Ability to handle high levels of confidentiality regarding service information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Sense of sound (Alarms, Horns, and Motorized Equipment.
