Job Description - Commercial Service Electrician - Powers- Northwest Arkansas

Powers Service Electricians install, service, or repair HVAC Controls systems in commercial establishments depending on job role. The ideal candidate will possess troubleshooting skills and a desire to learn new technologies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install controls components at the highest quality.
Install electrical cabling, including pathway, conduit, hooks, etc.
Read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Plan new installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid Hazardous wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring.
Measure, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, using such tools as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
Install VFDs according to standards.
Troubleshoot electrical problems, diagnose faults, and perform repairs as needed.
Organize work and meet deadlines.
Work individually or as a team to complete projects
Checkout proper operation of building controls.
Work with multiple types of control systems (Siemens, Talon, Delta, KMC, JCI, Distech, Honeywell, etc.)
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirement
Exceptional customer relations and communication skills
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Basic computer knowledge with ability to learn more detail operation.
Must be Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
Must be Reliable - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
Must be Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct.
Arkansas Electrical Journeyman's License
Additional preferred skills
1+ years’ HVAC controls/installations experience
2+ years’ experience in a construction environment
Understanding of Building Automation Software (BAS)
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
