Rogers Building Solutions, Coastal Mechanical business unit, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking a commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal superintendent to work in the Palm Beach to Miami areas of Florida. Work is primarily on hospitals, schools, Universities, and Government facilities. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

*Pending MVR, background and drug testing results

Requirements

• 5-10 years’ commercial experience in HVAC Sheet Metal Duct Installation

• Management experience running construction crews

• Must be able to read blueprints and understand code

• Willingness to mentor and teach other team members

• Must ensure quality control, assist with scheduling, maintain goals

• Must ensure safety rules and meetings are being held weekly and followed.

• Will work with purchasing to procure materials needed

• Must produce project schedules, and coordinate tradesmen for each project

• Work closely with Project Managers and other team members

• Valid driver’s license

- Gas card and Truck Allowance eligible

- Must be fluent in English

• Overtime may be necessary depending on jobs and schedules

• Employer conducts background checks (including JLA if needed for schools), motor vehicle checks, and drug screening.

Essential Functions:

· Climbing up and down ladders

· Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. –

· Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. –

· See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.

· Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance

· Work in heat and various other weather conditions

· Travel to current job sites within Florida
