Pay: $110,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year

Location: Freehold, New Jersey – On-site. Join our collaborative office where attorneys work closely together every day. Limited remote flexibility is available only for weekends or emergency situations.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and have 1+ year of commercial transactional law experience. Candidates with more senior experience, as well as those coming from in-house or solo practice backgrounds, are encouraged to apply if they have relevant transactional experience and are within commuting distance of Freehold.

Job Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and business agreements.
• Advise clients on business transactions, corporate governance, and day-to-day legal matters.
• Assist with business formations, mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, and entity restructurings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, agreements, and transactional documents.
• Participate in due diligence and support complex commercial transactions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical business-focused legal advice.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
• Participate in networking and business development initiatives to help grow the firm's transactional practice.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license required.
• 1+ year of commercial transactional law experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Business-minded approach with attention to detail.
• Interest in business development is a plus.
