Commercial Truck Upfitter / Shop Technician Trainee

Responsibilities

• Determine and install parts as directed


• Perform Check-In and Dealer Prep on new units received.


• Install appropriate Logos and Decals


• Communicate status of repairs clearly to senior techs


• Communicate with parts manager to obtain necessary parts


• Document all repairs performed


• Document all materials used


• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner


• Follow all company safety procedures 


• Learn and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste


• Train under experienced Shop Techs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Mechanical Aptitude preferred as Trainee


• Enthusiastic learner much preferred


• Past dealership experience not required


• Completion of vocational program considered, but not required


• Able to work in fast-paced environment


• Strong communication and organizational skills


• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
