The Commercialization Scientist is a liaison between R&D Development Scientists, Quality Control, and Production. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing, quality assurance requirements and formulation basics. This person will be responsible for supporting all production departments throughout the commercialization of new products. This requires attending production planning meetings, reviewing schedules to identify new product runs and communicating among departments the requirements to properly commercialized new products. Communication and collaborative work will be vital in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Attend production runs throughout commercialization process
*Attend production meetings and pre-op meetings
*Demonstrates a solid understanding of manufacturing practices and the ability to work in a physical environment for up to 8 hours.
*Review daily orders to identify items requiring controls, and record both requests and receipts.
*Facilitate communication between departments regarding updates to formulas, manufacturing instructions, and specifications.
*Assist with routine specification reviews
*Maintain centralized document portal for populating essential information on new products
*Assist with inter-departmental training as it relates to production and quality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or other related fields.
*Experience within a food-focused industry is preferred.
*Proficient in Excel and Word.
*Must have good communication and organizational skills.
Benefits:
Salary: $73,000-$80,000
