Job Summary

We are looking for a full-time Baker to join our growing team at Mothership Coffee. As a Baker, you'll work alongside a dedicated team focused on running a well-organized, safe, and thorough pastry program, preparing pastry items to exact spec and baking off product for delivery to our locations. You'll thrive in this role if you value a consistent routine, high attention to detail, and a patient, methodical environment with steady skill growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Bake a range of bread types, including pretzels, baguettes, and multigrain breads


• Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use


• Weigh flour and other ingredients precisely to prepare dough


• Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking


• Mix fillings for pastries and pies (e.g., chocolate ganache, caramel sauce, fruit fillings)


• Shape dough for a range of pastries, including croissants, cookies, and sweet rolls


• Prepare custom pastries based on customer specifications (e.g., birthday cakes)


• Provide input on recipe adjustments and new menu items as requested


• Track food supplies and place orders as needed


• Clean and sanitize all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas


• Routinely check freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to confirm proper function


• Stock supplies and manage or receive inventory as directed


• Perform other related duties as assigned

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Shifts are scheduled with start times in either the early morning or evening, assigned to a consistent recurring schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 25 pounds at times


• Available to work either on early mornings or evenings. Can do shifts during weekends, and holidays as scheduled
