Commissary Receiver- Full-Time

Kimberton Whole Foods Commissary Kitchen is hiring a full-time Receiver! 

Schedule: Sunday through Friday rotating shifts 7:00am-3:00pm, 11:00am-7:30pm and 8:30am-5:00pm on Sunday. Sunday availability a must. Availability on Saturdays throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. 

Pay: $18 hourly to start.

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Daily Operations: 

• Receives and stocks deliveries for busy Commissary Kitchen. ?Inspects the condition of fresh product upon arrival and reports any discrepancies. Cross checks items with an invoice to ensure correct delivery.
• Stacking product onto pallets, wrapping and preparing for next day pick-up and delivery by transportation team. 
• Utilize communication tools and organize pallets effectively for accurate shipment. 
• Operating manual pallet jacks and lift trucks 
• Scan invoices to our Invoice Processing Team. 
• Process credits with vendors via order portals and communicating via phone. 
• Light prep and some utility responsibilities: dishes, kitchen cleanliness, portioning, and bagging of soup.
• Seasons and processes poultry upon arrival. 
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer. Dating and rotating product using first in first out approach, regular sweeping, mopping and general cleaning of Walk-in refrigerators and Freezers. 
• Assists Commissary team in daily and weekly cleaning tasks including closing duties. 
• Coordinates donation items with manager. 
• Assists Commissary Manager with inventory stock and places vendor orders.

Requirements

Physical Capabilities:

• Full Sense Range (Vision, Hearing, and Sense of Smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with customers and co-workers. 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds,, and team lift weights in excess of 75 pounds including boxes, cans, tools, equipment and other products. 
• Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling – Stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts. 
• Walking – Short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas. 
• Standing – Prolonged standing. 
• Work Environment – Movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking/standing) rather than sedentary (sitting). 
• Climate – Ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis. Ability to work in a hot environment seasonally.
