Job Description - Commissions Clerk

Description

Mittera is currently seeking a detail-oriented Commissions Clerk to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Finance departments. In this position, you will collaborate closely with these teams to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of commission-related data.  To excel in this role, you should possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our organization's commission management and overall financial performance. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter commission-related data into the organization's financial systems, ensuring timely and precise records
  • Assist with the calculation of commissions, verifying accuracy and addressing any discrepancies or inquiries from the sales team. 
  • Generate regular reports on commission payments, sales performance, and other relevant data to support decision-making and forecasting
  • Investigate and resolve commission-related disputes or discrepancies, working with sales representatives, managers, and other stakeholders as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to commission plans and payments. 
  • Maintain and update commission-related information in the organization's financial systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Back-up other team members when necessary

Requirements

 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • High School degree or equivalent required; Associate Degree or certificate in business or related field preferred
  • One to three years of relevant experience required
  • Must be well organized, able to respond quickly to changing situations
  • Must be organized and have the ability to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects assigned
  • Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization, clients, and outside vendors
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft products
  • Detail oriented; excels in problem identification and resolution
  • Ability to use basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurements and critical thinking, to solve practical problems

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility
