Job Title: Commodity Manager Leader

Job Location: 100% Onsite in Irving, TX

Job Description:  As our Commodity Manager, you won't just be managing materials; you'll be a strategic leader shaping our Clients supply chain and driving significant impact. You'll be at the forefront of a $57M+ portfolio across 20 plants in North America and China, directly influencing our Client's success in the shower door components and finished goods categories. This role offers a platform to leverage your leadership traits and capabilities as you mentor a team in Shenzhen and act as a crucial bridge between the Clients organization, Chinese operations, and strategic suppliers.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute strategic commodity plans, budgets, and long-term value initiatives, consistently reporting on progress and identifying emerging market supplier potential.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 6 based in Shenzhen, fostering their growth and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Act as the primary commercial interface between our organization, our Shenzhen operations, and key strategic suppliers.
  • Apply your expertise in negotiations and contracting to secure favorable terms, leveraging should-cost models, multi-year agreements, and innovative contracting strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and develop robust risk management strategies to ensure security of supply.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sourcing processes, systems, and governance.
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement through performance measurement and proactive problem resolution.
  • Communicate complex analysis and recommendations effectively to both business and senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a US Citizen to work with Client (no Visa Sponsorship or relocation opportunities.)
  2. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Commodity Management. Preferred Qualifications: MBA, CPM, CPSM, or other relevant procurement/supply chain certifications.
  3. 7+ years of professional experience within manufacturing organizations, encompassing project management, procurement, and supply chain.
  4. Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and 2+ years of experience managing remote teams.
  5. Demonstrable knowledge of the Chinese supply base, market dynamics, and business culture.
  6. Deep expertise in negotiation and contract management, including complex terms and conditions, performance incentives, and risk mitigation.
  7. Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on developing and implementing effective solutions.
