Commodore Lead Bartender

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Bartender to oversee our bar team in a fine dining environment. As the Lead Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to our guests, ensuring a seamless bar operation, and leading a team of bartenders to maintain the highest standards of service and quality. Your expertise in mixology, customer service, and leadership will be key in enhancing the guest experience and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant and bar.

Responsibilities:

Ø Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times.

Ø Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and barbacks to deliver exceptional service and uphold the standards of the establishment.

Ø Prepare and serve a wide variety of high-end cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages while maintaining an expert knowledge of spirits, garnishes, and presentation.

Ø Ensure all drinks are made to the highest quality and consistently exceed guest expectations.

Ø Monitor inventory levels, track product usage, and assist in ordering supplies to maintain bar stock.

Ø Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring that it is always fully stocked and ready for service.

Ø Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Ø Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and accurate drink orders are delivered to guests.

Ø Ensure all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines are followed in accordance with health regulations.

Ø Manage cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper cash handling procedures.

Ø Assist in the development of seasonal or signature cocktail menus and contribute creative ideas to the bar offerings.

Ø Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Ø Proven experience as a bartender, with at least 5+ years in a fine dining or upscale environment.

Ø Strong leadership skills and experience managing and training a team.

Ø Exceptional knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, and bartending techniques.

Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Ø Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of service.

Ø Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Ø Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.

Ø Knowledge of wine pairings and an understanding of the restaurant’s menu offerings is a plus.

Ø Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ø Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local regulations.
