Location:

This role will be working out of our Buhler office. This position will have the opportunity to work in the field and also in an office setting.   

Opportunity:

If you have a passion for problem solving and delivering a high level of customer service, this opportunity may be for you! Our team is seeking a Communication & Hardware Technician to support the growth of our company! This position will manage phone hardware & fiber equipment. 

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Configure, test, document and install customer telephony equipment (ie. handsets, conference phones)
• Configure and test fiber equipment 
• Remotely diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Manage phone hardware and Optical Network Terminal (ONT) equipment
• Conduct thorough discoveries to evaluate customer specific configuration and needs
• Create long-term documentation to ensure that future customer service interactions are resolved efficiently.
• Plan telephony installations by studying customer contracts, construction plans, manuals, and customer technical specifications
• Anticipate project needs; ensure adequate hardware and supplies stocked to ensure successful installation
• Assist with special projects/process improvements as needed 
• Administrative assistance such as answering and making phone calls

Requirements

Experience/Knowledge Required:

• 2+ years of professional work experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in MS Office, Google Applications or collaborative software

Preferences:

• 1+ years of related IT/telecommunications experience
• Experience with digital phone systems such as VoIP (voice over internet protocol) and analog phone /faxing systems
