Nature and Scope 




The Internal Communications Specialist will be a creative mind who enjoys ideating and making inspiring content come to life while bringing exuberance and excitement to our culture and engagement initiatives at our Company. Our goal is to elevate the employee experience through our communication campaigns and engagement programs, such as recognition and our employee feedback channels. Your Contribution 






  1. Work with global and North American teams to disseminate communications – such as newsletters, announcements, webinar invites and digital signage – throughout North American channels  
     








  1. Ideate and produce campaigns and communications pieces – such as newsletters, video series, intranet stories, and visual identity packages – that align with our culture, communicate change, promote understanding of our company strategies, and increase employer and employee branding, sometimes utilizing creative agencies and video vendors, but largely creating pieces yourself; video and photo shoots may require light travel to our mills and facilities for an annual multi-day shoot 
     








  1. Manage communication channels, such as the intranet, digital signage, planned communication calendar, Communications Site, email inboxes and distribution lists 
     








  1. Oversee communications tools and programs and their users, such as the team Canva account and photo and video libraries, while creating and maintaining updated documentation and training for the tools and programs and managing their invoices and payments 
     








  1. Organize, host, and/or moderate large calls, such as Business Update Calls with our executive team, company-wide webinars, and trainings on our engagement programs 
     








  1. Support executives, HR teams, safety teams, and other departments with communications requests through consultation or creating and guiding them to self-service options, such as templates, to ensure on-brand and accurate communications are being shared org-wide through the proper channels at the most optimum times to avoid infoxication 
     








  1. Plan, lead, and/or support engagement events that elevate the employee experience through virtual platforms or in-person experiences at our headquarters, such as walk-a-thons, contests and raffles, team outings to sports games, onsite speakers and panels, and more 
     








  1. Administer our engagement programs, specifically the recognition programs, by making improvements, helping employees and HR follow up on requests, communicating its benefits to drive adoption, and collaborating with the HR Admin on invoicing and the holiday gift card program 
     








  1. Development exists to assist in supporting our employee feedback channels, including the Employee Opinion Survey, its administration, and the analysis and communication of its results 
     








  1. Safeguard highly confidential information that may be involved in the work assignments or to which individual may have access 








 




Your Team  




This position reports directly to the Communications Manager. The incumbent works in close cooperation and coordination with the Communications Manager, group vice presidents, corporate staff and division management, field teams, and global teams in Brazil in the completion of campaigns, and provides administration and support for our engagement programs.  




 
Your Expertise  
Submit a portfolio of designs, writing/articles/copy, videos, infographics, campaigns or other creative pieces along with your application, resume, and references.  






  • 2 to 3 years of experience in internal communications, engagement, employee experience, change management, and/or culture in a corporate environment 








  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 tools, such as PowerPoint, Word, and Forms 








  • Familiar with design programs such as Adobe Suite and Canva with some graphic design knowledge or experience and some video editing experience 








  • Skills with using a digital camera and video set up or openness to learn and is required for photo and video tasks 








  • Comfortable hosting large calls, moderating webinars and trainings, and leading or assisting with events as the face of internal communication 








  • Having an interest in future skills, including 1) AI or willingness to use and experiment with AI ethically and in an authentic way; 2) data to find ways to link our data sources together to create meaningful engagement insights  








  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading/copyediting, research and verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to be persuasive verbally 








  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken 








  • Be able to create and pitch ideas as well as produce the pieces of communication 








  • Experience in print, video, and digital communications 








  • Agility to prioritize and shift focus quickly as communications demands arise and work with required deadlines  








  • Change management certification is a plus
