Providence is calling for Communication Specialist - Communications - Hybrid


The Communication Specialist will support organization-wide programs and initiatives.   The Communication Specialist plays a key role on the Communications team, overseeing weekly communications for leaders and caregivers, developing quarterly newsletters for rural caregivers, and providing communications support for external outreach efforts, including quarterly patient and business development newsletters. Through these efforts, this role helps strengthen engagement and ensure clear, consistent messaging across the organization.

  • Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and meet recurring deadlines.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years demonstrated experience in supporting broad-based and successful communication teams and programs.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organizations and teams.

  • Communication experience in health care. 

  • Experience in a faith-based health system/organization.
