Job Description - Communications and Administrative Coordinator

Communications and Administrative Coordinator
 
The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is seeking a  Communications and Administrative Coordinator to join the Administration division that provides direction and coordination to the various divisions within the Comptroller’s office. The position supports and coordinates legislative activities and communications efforts relating to the office’s programs and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities for this position will include:
  • Supporting Comptroller staff and operations with various projects and administrative needs
  • Planning networking events for Office leadership, staff, and the General Assembly, including catering needs, event setup, and communications
  • Supporting the Office’s Legislative Affairs team during legislative session
  • Assisting the communications team with internal communication support for plans and projects
  • Administratively supports the Chief of Staff.
Qualifications
You are qualified for consideration for this position if you meet the following criteria:
  • Graduate of an accredited four-year college or university preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Proofreading
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
Other combinations of education and experience, if evaluated as equivalent, may qualify an applicant for consideration.

Compensation 

The Comptroller’s Office offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package that includes at least twelve days of annual leave and twelve days of sick leave, insurance plans, pension retirement plan, 401(k), college fee waivers, and much more.
