Job Description - Communications & Marketing Associate

FHLB Dallas actively pursues dedicated and hardworking individuals to be a part of our professional team. Positions are offered on an as-needed basis for all departments.  View our current opportunities by clicking the View Open Positions tab above.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and manage content and storytelling initiatives that align with the Bank’s mission, brand and strategy. Materials include impact reports, press releases, employee communications, marketing collateral, talking points, presentations, video scripts and storyboards and executive messaging
  • Support employee, member and public communications campaigns and initiatives
  • Review and edit communications materials for clarity, consistency, accuracy and brand alignment
  • Leverage emerging communications technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, efficiencies, content development and audience reach
  • Support media relations activities, public events and corporate communications activities
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop clear and engaging communications
  • Develop scripts and storyboards for corporate videos
  • Monitor communications performance metrics and provide insights to help inform communications strategy and engagement
  • Prepare reports and dashboards that measure the effectiveness of communications and media initiatives
  • Publish content using a content management system
  • Direct photographers, videographers and other support vendors

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, business or related field
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Experience with and understanding of multiple communication formats, including social, digital, print, web, generative engines and video
  • Experience creating content for internal and external platforms
  • Familiarity with creating data visualizations and dashboards
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications, content management systems and digital communications tools
  • Continuous learner with strong organizational, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt and manage changing priorities
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools and emerging communications technologies preferred
  • Familiarity with communications metrics and reporting tools are preferred
  • Portfolio required

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.   

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment requiring little physical exertion.  The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Mental concentration, attention to detail and computer use for extended periods of time are common. Completion of complex tasks under deadline pressure may be required. This position may, on occasion, also require evening and weekend work based on business needs. Interruptions may occur.
