Communications Coordinator

Position Overview:
DBI Projects is looking to bring on a Communications Coordinator to support the company’s marketing efforts. This position provides an opportunity for a junior candidate to develop the requisite skills and experience for a career in marketing. A successful Communications Coordinator will be an effective writer and strong task manager.

What You’ll Do:
Marketing Material Development:

Write new and compelling proposals, project descriptions, team bios, resumes, website updates, announcements, social media content, and other digital and print marketing content. Develop this content, manage the process of gaining requisite feedback and approvals, and ensure its timely dissemination.
Story Creation and Promotion:

Celebrate and support the DBI community through dynamic and engaging storytelling. Seek out and create stories from within DBI’s ranks and among DBI’s work and find the best routes to share them.
Marketing Information Management:

Regularly update and maintain DBI’s marketing documents, information, and templates.
Activity Tracking:

Track firmwide business development and marketing activities and information. Prepare clear and actionable emails, updates, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-ups.
Coordinate across multiple firm leaders to ensure open action items are addressed in a timely manner.
CRM Coordination:

Regularly update company CRM systems in Hubspot and Smartsheets.
Reporting:

Develop periodic marketing reports to firm leadership.
Lead Research and Development:

Identify and research project leads, potential clients, and competitive environment.
Event Coordination:

Support the planning, management, and hosting of periodic DBI networking events. Identify, research, plan, and book priority external events, conferences, and other networking activities to cultivate new leads.

DBI values candidates who have the ability and drive to work hard, are detail-oriented, and are not afraid to take on new assignments and endeavors while implementing a results-driven attitude.

Required Skills & Experience:
1-3 years of postgraduate professional writing experience; ability to effectively learn and understand technical concepts, translating them into clear, compelling pitches.
Proficiency in editing documents and presentations in InDesign and the ability to represent concepts diagrammatically is preferred.
Experience marketing in the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) or real estate industries is preferred.

This position is based in our New York City office, 5 days a week in person.

The salary range for this full-time role is $65,000-$75,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
