Pet Food Experts (PFX) is searching for a dynamic, mission-driven Communications Manager to lead our internal and external communication efforts with clarity, compassion, and creativity. 

In this role:

• You'll be the voice behind the brand—keeping our employees informed and inspired, and our external audiences engaged through smart, strategic content. Whether you’re launching a new campaign in HubSpot, prepping the leadership team’s next big announcement, or helping teams align on a message, your words will move people to action. 
• You’ll manage everything from crisis response to fireside chat scripts, and own our brand messaging guidelines to ensure consistency across the board. With a sharp eye on analytics and a content calendar to match, you'll make sure every message has impact and intention. 
• This role is perfect for a communications pro who thrives in a collaborative environment, knows how to juggle multiple priorities, and brings a thoughtful, human-centered voice to everything they write. Bonus points if you’ve worked in the nonprofit space—we value our mission just as much as clarity. 
• You’ll drive awareness of how Pet Food Experts is transforming its business to deliver for its clients and support sustainable growth. You will develop a strategic communications plan that ladders into the company’s broader objectives, reaching all internal and external audiences.
• You’ll implement clear, consistent communication strategies, from drafting town hall scripts to press releases, ensuring every piece of content aligns with our values and vision. 
• You’ll support our communications by working cross-functionally with teams to ensure smooth integration of communication strategies and the effective use of communication tools across departments.
• Your role will include both content creation and analytics, ensuring all campaigns and initiatives are evaluated, refined, and continuously improved based on feedback and performance metrics. 

Experience Needed:

• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with a strong background in both internal and external communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 
• Proven experience managing or supporting executive-level communications, with the ability to craft messaging that aligns with leadership's voice and strategic goals.
• Strong background in crisis communications with the ability to respond with poise, clarity, and empathy under pressure. 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a compassionate, clear, and engaging tone tailored to diverse audiences.
• Portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to tell complex stories in relatable and compelling ways across digital, written, video, and print mediums.
