Robert Half is looking to employ a Communications Specialist with exceptional writing skills for a local client. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. This is a direct-hire opportunity, salaried with benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a communication strategy with the Executive Director that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
• Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters. Oversees the content and maintenance of the website.
• Adhere to the company’s style guide, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy.
• Work with key staff and volunteers to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the strategic plan.
• Plans and creates communications to the general membership. Prepares media kits, brochures, and other association publications.
• Serves as editor of the association newsletter by writing, obtaining, and editing articles; performing desktop publishing; securing advertising.
• Responsible for production of the association’s annual membership directory, “Who’s Who”.
• Develops and maintains a system for media contacts, and publication advertisers.
• Follows budgets and guidelines for the printing of association publications.
• Maintains a computer filing system for publications’ advertising, introductory and follow-up approach letters, printing estimates, art materials, and correspondence.
• Researches and writes articles on behalf of the association for various external publications.
• Assist and attend member events.
• Performs other duties as directed by senior staff and/or Executive Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Microsoft Office Applications - specifically Excel, Word, Publisher, and Outlook.
• Desktop Publishing
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks for self and others involved in support of project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Familiar with Artificial Intelligence.
