Help us turn out voters in Tennessee to get out the vote and win! Grassroots efforts are ramping up for the special election and we are looking for a team of canvassers to help us reach voters who deserve a voice in this election. From now through Election Day 12/2, our team is connecting directly with voters on the ground through door-to-door outreach. We will be supporting Aftyn Behn who is a social worker, organizer, and current State Representative who has spent her career fighting alongside the people most impacted by broken systems, not the ones who benefit from them.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $20/hour. Team Lead positions start at $22/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. With bonuses and overtime, total earnings can reach $30-35/hr.

Locations: Nashville, TN 

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through 12/2 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 9:45 am - 8:00 pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

Canvasser Responsibilities ($20/hr):

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.
