Hiring Salary: $20.65/Hourly 

THIS IS A TEMPORARY GRANT-FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL JUNE 30, 2027

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  The Community Engagement Coordinator oversees and coordinates community engagement training for staff and community partners. This position includes a wide variety of administrative and program tasks. This position serves as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external entities, reinforcing relationships with community stakeholders and partners.  

1. Collaborates with members of leadership to align the strategic direction of the programs.
2. Develops and implements training with staff and community partners, such as data reporting and trauma-informed approaches.
3. Manages public outreach, social marketing, and community education campaigns.  
4. Assists with project development and planning to ensure more efficient service and organization.
5. Oversees or delivers presentations to communicate the project's purpose, value, and importance to the community.
6. Composes and prepares written documentation and correspondence for the internal and external partners.
7. Manages and contributes to all functions related to personnel, including orienting, hiring, training, discipline, and evaluations.
8. Identifies potential network members in the community and assesses ability to address childhood exposure to trauma and resilience.
9. Organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other special events.
10. Serves as the liaison between UT Health Sciences, community partners, and grant/contract funders.  
11. Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (Master’s preferred.) (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience; OR a combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years. Must have a valid Driver’s License.   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

• Skills providing training, program development, and program implementation. 
• Skill working with healthcare providers and community stakeholders.
• Ability to incorporate marketing and other research techniques into engagement in multi-sector systems. 
• Knowledge and experience in implementing quality or process improvement efforts. 
• Skill and expertise in successful grant project management. 
• Skill in long-range and short-range grant planning and supervision.  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details 
• Ability to organize and coordinate events and schedules. 
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. 
• Good analytical and presentation skills.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally work evenings and frequently work weekends. May require occasional overnight travel.
