Community Events Coordinator

If you love making friends, love being a part of the community, and enjoy staying on the move, this is the role for you! Chara Christian Dance Academy is seeking a vibrant, outgoing Community Events Coordinator to join our team part-time.

About the Role:
As our Community Events Coordinator, you’ll be out in the South Houston community representing Chara at children family events and at local business event. You’ll coordinate and attend local gatherings where you’ll share all the exciting opportunities we offer in dance and music education. Your job is to spark joy, build connections, and invite families into the Chara experience. This role will have high and low seasons due to the nature of community events but continuous employment! 

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinate and attend local community, school, and family events


• Set up and tear down event booths (some lifting required)


• Engage warmly with parents, children, and local business owners


• Share information about Chara’s dance and music programs


• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations


• Represent our values of being uplifting, excellence, a team player, and integrity in every interaction

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Is passionate about working with children and families


• Is energetic, friendly, and confident striking up conversations


• Is physically able to lift and carry event supplies (approximately 30–40 lbs)


• Enjoys working outdoors and attending local events


• Has strong communication and organizational skills


• Is available to work weekends and evening events as needed


• Has reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Bonus Points If You:

• Have experience in event planning or outreach


• Have a background in dance, performing arts, or education


• Are familiar with the South Houston/Pearland/Friendswood area
