Requirements
Who We Need
The Community Health Educator works to grow and sustain Healthier Texas programmatic work that contributes to saving lives by reducing the instance of preventable diseases while increasing access to health for all Texans. The Community Health Educator will serve as a trusted resource and the broader community, supporting the Health + Healing Hub project to foster a culture of health within the designated zip codes. This position focuses on providing individual and community-based health interventions through outreach, providing health education, and advocacy.
The Community Health Educator will work to cultivate relationships and build partnerships with local community organizations (including faith-based organizations), businesses, and other stakeholders to disseminate health information and recruit program participants for engagement in health programming. As a key liaison between the Community Health Educator must reside within the 76104 or 76105 area codes and will be required to participate in and complete a 16-week Community Health Worker training. This is a hybrid position that is housed within a faith-based organization. This position is grant funded through December 31, 2026.
