Community Liaison

Community Health Plan of Imperial Valley (CHPIV) is Imperial County's Medi-Cal managed care plan. We are a locally managed public health care plan committed to working with members, providers, and the residents of Imperial County.

As we continue to build something great, we are seeking a Community Liaison to act as a bridge between our organization and the community we serve. 

Our next team member will do the following:

• Coordinate all aspects of the Community Advisory Committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, distributing materials, and documenting meeting minutes.
• Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with local community-based organizations, healthcare providers, public agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• ​​​​​Represent CHPIV at health fairs, public forums, community events, and stakeholder meetings.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and distributing communication materials such as newsletters, flyers, brochures, and member updates and helping maintain the website.

You may be right for this job if you have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, communications, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of experience in community outreach, public relations, healthcare, or a related role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Knowledge of community-based resources, healthcare systems, and social services in the Imperial Valley region.
• Proven ability to build relationships, facilitate meetings, and coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently and in team environments.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for community events.
