Community Organizer

Grassroots Voter Outreach (GVO) is running a short term campaign to ensure Arizona families and small businesses have a voice in the ongoing utility rate changes!

Position Overview
We are hiring Community Organizers to join our team this fall. Organizers will engage directly with community members, business owners, and local leaders across Arizona to collect campaign deliverables, support community town halls, and amplify the voices of residents. This is a field-based position that requires strong people skills, adaptability, and dedication to grassroots organizing.

Responsibilities:

• Engage local residents and small businesses to participate in the campaign through Business endorsements, letter writing, petitions


• Support recruitment and turnout for community town halls.


• Submit and track collected materials weekly


• Meet weekly deliverables while traveling to different Arizona communities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Able to speak in front of large audiences


• Previous field, canvassing, or organizing experience preferred but not necessary


• Organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.


• Willingness to travel around the state (travel and housing support provided).


• Commitment to grassroots change and progressive values.
