Description

C3 Wellbeing’s Community Prevention Team provide evidence-based programs and strategies that prevent or reduce substance use for community members of all ages.

The Community Prevention Program Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of comprehensive, community-based substance use prevention programs. This includes managing a portfolio of grant-funded initiatives, overseeing strategic planning and program evaluation, strengthening community coalitions, and aligning activities with evidence-based prevention frameworks and local needs. This role is contingent upon grant funding and anticipated to start on or around October 1, 2026. 


Requirements

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Program Management & Implementation

  • Lead planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of prevention programs using a multi-year strategic work plan grounded in the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF).
  • Develop logic models, implementation timelines, and measurable objectives aligned with grant and funder requirements.
  • Develop and oversee work plans and deliverables for multiple program components, ensuring fidelity to evidence-based strategies and compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Coalition Building & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the liaison to municipal leaders, school administrators, public health entities, and other strategic partners to enhance prevention infrastructure and systems alignment.
  • Guide and support coalition partners in achieving collective impact through shared goals, data-informed decision-making, and coordinated initiatives.

Training & Facilitation

  • Develop and deliver prevention-focused training and technical assistance to coalition members, educators, parents, youth, and professionals using research-informed strategies.
  • Facilitate professional development sessions and public presentations that promote health equity, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed prevention practices.

Marketing, Communication & Campaigns

  • Design, implement, and evaluate targeted media campaigns to promote prevention messages using multiple platforms, including print, digital, and social media.
  • Create high-quality outreach materials and educational resources tailored to diverse community audiences.

Reporting & Fiscal Oversight

  • Prepare and submit progress reports, program summaries, grant narratives, budget justifications, and billing documentation in accordance with funder and agency timelines.
  • Track program expenditures and ensure fiscal accountability and alignment with approved grant budgets.

Team & Organizational Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues across departments to ensure integrated prevention strategies and organizational alignment.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, public forums, and state-level task forces, advocating for prevention policies and priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education-BA health and human services, public health, psychology or related
  • Prior experience- previous public health experience preferred, engaged active in community cares about prevention in youth
  • Physical      ability-up to 50 lbs. and work primarily workspace- occasional evening as weekends as needed
  • Commitment      to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, with the ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Willing to be trained in and deliver evidence-based programs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.
  • Ability to conduct work in accordance with ethical prevention principles.
