The Role
The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Analyst is responsible for assisting and maintaining the Bank’s CRA Compliance program to ensure conformity and adherence with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The role provides support and guidance to the Bank’s risk management efforts. Duties include gathering loan data, generating reports for validation of data accuracy, and preparing the supporting documentation for the Bank to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Review reports, data, and individual loans to ensure all CRA-reportable loans have been appropriately identified and include the required information Review data and compare to loan documentation (promissory notes, credit memos, financial reports, etc.) to ensure accuracy Work with Credit Management to ensure all appropriate information is collected during the underwriting process for all small business, small farm, and community development loans Work with the Loan Operations department to ensure that all information is properly loaded into the appropriate loan management systems Use CRAWiz to geocode, perform data quality checks, validity checks, and edit as needed Maintain CRA-reportable loan database in CRAWiz Submit data files for regulatory review as required Create reports as needed to support CRA and Fair Lending needs for review by management, compliance, lending departments, and regulators Remain updated on all regulatory changes related to CRA and Fair Lending reporting Prepare reports for CRA
and compliance committees, as needed
Document the data collection and reporting process Annually review all processes with CRA Officer to ensure accuracy and efficiency and recommend changes as needed Prepare and maintain CRA
maps of assessment areas Conduct demographic and economic research needed to complete performance context and self-assessment analysis Coordinate with the IT Department to update and maintain CRA and Fair Lending analysis software and files

Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems or related field or four (4) + years of work experience Knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act a plus Expertise in Microsoft Excel Experienced with Microsoft Office suite Experience with CRAWiz or other HMDA/CRA/Fair Lending and geocoding software experience a plus Experience with bank loan documentation (notes, credit memos, financial reports, etc.) a plus
Skills and Abilities Required Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, and must be able to multi-task and complete projects on time. Should be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to work independently or in teams. Fundamental knowledge of general banking principles, philosophies, and operations. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
