Community Resource Navigator - Lake County

Salary will be $46,000

Full-time position including insurance and time off benefits

Easterseals Florida is looking to fill our Community Resources Navigator (for children and young adults) position serving in Mascotte, Minneola, Groveland and 4 Corners (Hartwood Marsh Road to the end of South Lake County) areas. The Community Resources Navigator works with families with children with disabilities in need of a wide variety of assistance. The position is responsible for providing information about services for children with disabilities to their caregivers, making referrals to community resources, and conducting intake assessments. The Community Resource Navigator is also responsible for recruiting clients. This position works extensively with community partners to identify clients and to ensure access to needed disability services. The qualified candidate will be a current or former resident of Lake County, Florida.

A snapshot of what you'll do:

• Coordinate and collaborate with Lake County's neighborhood services, as well as local community programs, childcare centers and schools, to obtain referrals for children and their families in need of guidance and support to obtain evaluations and/or disability services
• Successfully integrate and participate in community events and committee membership within Lake County and with community partners

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or related field and four years of experience
• Experience/knowledge of the Lake County (Mascotte, Minneola, Groveland and 4 Corners) social service network
• Experience with Webauthor
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal on-site supervision
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
