Job Description - Community Support Admin


Community Support Admin

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Status: Full-Time, Regular
Classification: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
(On-call rotation required; occasional evenings/weekends as needed)
Reports To: Program Director

About the Role

As a Community Support Admin, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing services within our Supported Living (SLS) and Independent Living (ILS) programs. This position blends program coordination, staff leadership, compliance oversight, and direct impact, ensuring each individual receives high-quality, person-centered support aligned with their goals.

What You’ll Do

Service Coordination & Case Management

  • Oversee and coordinate services aligned with each individual’s IPP/ISP goals
  • Conduct and support assessments, reassessments, and eligibility reviews
  • Ensure implementation of individualized service and behavior plans
  • Prepare and submit required reports (Annual, Semi-Annual, Quarterly) to Regional Centers
  • Facilitate person-centered planning meetings
  • Support individuals in accessing employment, education, transportation, and community resources
  • Advocate for participant rights, dignity, and independence

Leadership & Staff Development

  • Supervise Community Living Instructors (CLIs), House Managers, and support staff
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage and ratios
  • Train staff on documentation, behavior plans, and best practices
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when needed
  • Ensure staff maintain required certifications and compliance standards

Admissions & Program Support

  • Assist with intake assessments and new participant admissions
  • Develop transition and service plans for new placements
  • Prepare documentation and reports for Regional Centers and funding sources

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with Regional Center regulations, Title 17, and company policies
  • Submit Special Incident Reports within required timelines
  • Maintain accurate and organized participant records
  • Participate in audits, IHSS processes, and regulatory reviews
  • Monitor and support participant benefits (e.g., IHSS, housing resources)

Program Improvement & Oversight

  • Conduct quality assurance audits and participant check-ins
  • Track service outcomes and analyze trends
  • Identify opportunities for program growth and improvement
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across services

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between Regional Centers, families, conservators, and community partners
  • Build relationships that expand inclusive opportunities for participants
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

Direct Support & On-Call Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to participants as needed
  • Respond to urgent situations and emergencies
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
  • Support crisis intervention and mobility assistance when required

What You Bring

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field (preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for advocacy and person-centered care

Required Certifications & Clearances

  • Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • DOJ Fingerprint Clearance (Live Scan)
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
  • TB Clearance

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $27.00 per hour
