We are currently seeking an experienced Compactor Repair & Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for in-house and onsite repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of compactors and related equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-focused, and experienced in hydraulic and electrical systems.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime as required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform compactor repair, installation, and preventive maintenance
• Follow daily work assignments from supervisor for both in-house and onsite service calls
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems including valves and cylinders
• Repair hydraulic power units and electric control panels
• Work with three-phase electrical systems
• Complete in-house repair projects alongside weld/fabrication team members
• Maintain service truck (cleanliness, organization of parts and tools)
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company safety policies

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant mechanical experience preferred
• Welding and fabrication experience required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with hydraulic systems and three-phase electrical systems
• Clean NY State driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits

• $25.00–$35.00 per hour (depending on experience)
