About this role
As a Compensation Analyst, you’ll support the design, analysis, and delivery of our global compensation programs. You’ll provide data-driven insights and guidance to help ensure fair and consistent pay practices. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a small, high-impact team and partner closely with the Senior Manager, Global Compensation. You’ll grow your skills, work on meaningful projects, and play a key role in recognizing and rewarding what makes Udemy great—our people.
What you’ll be doing
Perform market pricing and benchmarking for new and existing roles using survey data (Radford, Pave) and internal job architecture.
Update and maintain compensation calculators, tools, and guides, ensuring they are clear, consistent, and easy for partners to navigate.
Participate in and coordinate various compensation survey submissions and market practice studies, preparing clean and accurate data.
Partner with People Partners and Recruiters to provide compensation data and guidance for offer reviews, promotions, and internal mobility (e.g., relocations).
Provide general analysis and modeling support to surface trends, actionable insights, and key findings across global compensation and people data.
Manage job architecture assets and ensure consistency across job profiles, leveling, and compensation ranges in Workday; partner with HRIS to reconcile discrepancies.
Contribute to compensation program operations, including project tracking, timeline management, and training/enablement initiatives.
What you’ll have
3–5 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, people analytics, finance, or another analytically focused role.
Strong analytical skills with experience manipulating large datasets, building models, and creating clear, polished visualizations and decks. Advanced Google Sheets.
Experience with HRIS tech stack and comp platforms (e.g., Workday, Radford, Pave); hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with global markets, compensation trends, and/or equity design is a plus.
Clear communicator who can effectively share information with various audiences across multiple channels (e.g., Zoom, Slack, email, etc.).
Growth mindset and ability to deliver in ambiguous, highly dynamic environments.
