Complex Personal Injury (CPI) Attorney

Description

Responsibilities 

• Reviewing and monitoring complex injury files for proper medical management by the paralegals and case managers, to ensure clients are receiving proper treatment and being referred to specialists if needed
• Handling escalated calls, denials, terminations and withdrawals
• Addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues
• Answering questions and providing legal guidance to Complex Injury staff
• Assisting with monitoring and managing staff to ensure metrics are achieved
• Communicating with clients with compassion and empathy and in a manner that inspires confidence and trust

 Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school; Admission in good standing to NC State Bar; Admission to SC State Bar a plus
• Minimum of 5 years’ personal injury practice experience; Complex/Catastrophic PI experience strongly preferred 
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Ability to recognize, diffuse, and offer problem resolution to irate clients
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Supervisory experience preferred
