Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Flood Specialist to join our Compliance department. This position will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring FSB adheres to all flood-related regulations and compliance requirements. The Flood Specialist will also serve as a backup for Currency Transaction Reports (CTR's), contributing to the overall compliance efforts of FSB.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining FLOOD policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
· Remain abreast of changes to FLOOD regulations and ensure that FSB’s policies and procedures are in alignment
· Develop and deliver training programs to applicable employees on FLOOD policies and procedures
· Maintain accurate and complete records of FLOOD-related activities and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required
· Monitor and assess flood zone determinations to ensure compliance with federal regulations
· Conduct regular reviews and audits of flood insurance policies and documentation
· Collaborate with various departments, such as Loan Operations and Loan Review, to ensure proper implementation of FLOOD compliance procedures
· Serve as a backup for CTR processing and reporting ensuring accuracy and timeliness
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
· High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s from an accredited college or university is preferred
· 2+ years of banking experience in loan administration or compliance highly preferred
Skills and abilities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Time management and prioritization
