We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Compliance Coordinator to support the organization's compliance program by ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. The Compliance Coordinator will assist with audits, documentation, reporting, policy management, and employee training while working collaboratively across departments to promote a culture of integrity and compliance.
As our Compliance Coordinator, you'll help us stay ahead of regulatory requirements and internal standards, ensuring that all drivers and contractors are onboarded properly, qualified to work, and continuously compliant with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and maintain the organization's compliance program, policies, and procedures.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
Maintain accurate compliance records, certifications, licenses, and required documentation.
Track compliance deadlines, reporting requirements, and corrective action plans.
Investigate compliance issues and escalate concerns to management as appropriate.
Assist in developing and delivering compliance training programs for employees.
Review and update policies, procedures, and forms to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct routine compliance monitoring and documentation reviews.
Collaborate with department leaders to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations related to compliance activities.
Stay informed of changes in applicable laws and regulations and communicate updates to leadership.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance processes.
Monitor and update carrier credentials and insurance documentation
Assemble, audit, and maintain carrier credential files in line with DOT and FMCSA standards
Review and maintain policies, procedures, and forms to ensure regulatory compliance.
Process new contractor onboarding
Conduct routine compliance monitoring and documentation reviews.
Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations related to compliance activities.
Stay informed of changes in applicable laws and regulations and communicate updates to leadership.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
Two or more years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, auditing, risk management, or an administrative role supporting regulatory compliance preferred.
Experience interpreting policies, regulations, and procedural requirements.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with compliance management software is a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them effectively.
Customer service mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships.
