As Chariot scales to onboard tens of thousands more nonprofits and expands into new payment flows, our regulatory, risk, and partner-network requirements are growing just as fast. We're looking for a product manager who can turn those requirements (KYC/identity, fraud, disputes, payment-rail rules) into product that scales, without slowing down the rest of the team.
You'll work closely with Engineering, banking partners, and DAF/payment-rail networks to turn regulatory complexity into product that ships.
Turn regulatory requirements into shippable, secure, and compliant product
Translate KYC/identity, fraud, disputes, and payment-rail rules into specs engineers can execute, scaling the business without slowing the rest of product
Own the compliance roadmap
Set priorities across compliance problem statements, e.g. scaling to 1,000+ onboardings a day, or building secure infrastructure for check sending at scale
Decompose regulatory complexity
Untangle bank, partner-network, and regulatory requirements to find what actually decides the outcome
Partner with Chariot Labs
Work with Chariot Labs (Chariot's internal AI engineering team) to build the systems that let compliance scale: onboarding, fraud, and disbursement infrastructure
Sweat every detail
Own execution so nothing falls through the cracks: compliance work fails on missed details
Translate across audiences
Communicate regulation clearly to Product and Engineering, and product decisions clearly to banks and partners
Must Haves
3+ years of product management experience
Able to untangles regulatory and partner-network requirements
Precise scoping and spec writing: translates regulatory requirements into specs engineers can execute
Highly organized and detail-oriented: nothing falls through the cracks
Ability to ship quickly, so that compliance doesn't become the bottleneck for the rest of product
Clear, followable communication: comfortable translating regulation for Product/Engineering and product for banks & partners
Technical fluency: comfortable enough to read API docs and understand webhooks, without needing to write code
Nice to Haves
Seasoned payments/fintech product background with deep regulated money-movement domain depth (rails, KYC/identity, fraud, disputes)
Commercial instincts for partner- and bank-facing work
Experience in a fast-moving startup environment
At Chariot, we are building modern, end-to-end payment infrastructure making donors' lives easier, and nonprofits' lives better. $600B gets donated to charity each year in the US and the existing technology/infrastructure was still built for our grandparents generation.
