Your Responsibilities

As a Component Engineer for Intelligent Solutions Group located in Fargo, North Dakota, you will:


 



  • Be responsible for the lifecycle management of components used in our products to ensure ongoing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

  • You will evaluate components against technical specifications, develop and maintain approved vendor and part lists, and collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure quality and continuity of supply.

  • Support new product development by working cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address component-related risks and resolve production issues.

  • Monitor component lifecycle status to proactively manage obsolescence, identify alternate or second-source solutions, and mitigate supply chain disruptions.

  • Maintain accurate component data within PLM/ERP systems and drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives

What Skills You Need


  • Ability to perform engineering work by applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks.

  • Able to make preliminary selections or adaptations of engineering alternatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).

  • Experience with problem solving and working in a team environment

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Understanding of electrical components, suppliers, or manufacturing processes

  • Experience in applying digital technologies, AI, and design automation to improve engineering workflows.

  • Experience in electronic circuit design

Education

 


 


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:


 



  • Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program. Others may apply.
