Job Summary:
The Component Engineer III works under general supervision to drive component selection and qualification activity through partnerships with external suppliers and internal design/development teams, ensuring specific parts used in Crane Aerospace & Electronics products are reliable and effective. They also provide technical support for addressing component obsolescence, and work with Supply Chain Management to address part availability issues.

Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment, occasional laboratory or manufacturing environment.
Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
Lab or manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
Flexible and willing to work overtime outside of typical office hours if necessary
Standing: 5% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
Sitting: 95% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds
Pushing (in pounds): up to 25 pounds
Mental/Visual: use of computer and basic office equipment

Salary Range: Component Engineer II: $103,900 - $123,300; Component Engineer III: $124,819 - $148,341.
Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
