Job Description - Component Rebuild Technician

What You Will Be Doing:


As a Component Rebuild Technician, you will provide power train component repairs, rebuilds, troubleshooting, and testing.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Disassemble and assemble components.

  • Clean and inspect components.

  • Evaluate re-usability of component parts.

  • Perform failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and Machine operation.




      Additional Responsibilities:


      • Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.

      • Additional duties as assigned by manager.


      Who We Are Looking For:


      To be successful in this position you should have a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of tools applicable to the position and the desire to learn. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.


      Education/Experience:


      • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

      • Vocation / technical certificate, or a minimum of 3-years prior experience in a heavy equipment shop. 


      Required Qualifications/Skills:


      • Must be able to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters. 

      • Skilled in ‘Basic’ computer applications including email and internet usage.

      • The ability to communicate through email- sending & receiving notes, attachments.
