SUMMARY:  

Color matches production colors with minimal supervision and provide production support for color related and rework issues. 

Position Outline include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Color match production colors to set standards.  
• Ability to follow written Quality system procedure and work instructions that apply to the Job Requirement. (Work Instruction# 10 & 13) 
• Communicate to Compounding team when color is out of specification.  
• Modify and update color standards with new tolerances. 
• Qualifying Predispersions (tint strength, etc.) 
• Help support Compounding when color match is not available (organosol, filter, etc.) 

Person Description  

• Must be self-motivated, independent worker, team player, detail oriented, flexible (available for overtime as needed and weekends), effective written and verbal communication skills. 
• Shift – This position is for shift but will be required to cover all 3 shifts as needed as part of this role.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.  
• Must pass the Farnsworth-Munsell Hue Test 
• Six months of Compounding experience is preferred but not required. 
• Color matching or spectrophotometer experience is preferred but not required. 
• Forklift experience is preferred. 
• Experience with hazardous material is preferred.  
• Communication skills, both written and verbal must be at least at an 8th grade level.  Must be able to communicate in English. 
• Must be able to do basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 
• Skilled at weights and measures is required. (math test will be conducted if not already completed)

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Exposure to chemicals.  Must be able to wear a respirator at times (no beards, pass pre-employment physical). 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Transparency: 

The current pay rate for this position is between $21.00- $27.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience.  If hired, employment will be at will.
