Computer Science Intern - Urgent

• Major study in Computer Science/Computer Engineering.
• Experienced in Linux OS customization and Systems Hardware.

This position is primarily responsible for the research and development of various Linux OS features and System Hardware. Students work closely with R&D Engineers on projects.

The Computer Science Intern offers a set onsite schedule of 40 hours per week.

Co-Op Start Date: May 2024

Co-Op End Date: August 2024

What you will do:

The individual will be involved in a variety of projects which may include:

• Customization of Linux OS, packages, components, and features.
• Customization of Linux OS for compatibility with UEFI.
• Test and evaluation of system motherboards and components.
• Research ARM single-board computers.
• Research IPP Everywhere printing.
• Customization of printing packages.
• Test and evaluation of printer systems.
• Research operating system security technologies.
• Document findings and outcomes.
• Work with source control tools like TFS to record documentation and software projects.
• Document frequently used processes for others to duplicate.
• Software design and testing.

Additional Qualifications Include:

• Minimum 3.0 GPA (must be on resume).
• Major study in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with Bash scripting or Python programming.
• Experience with embedded computing systems (Raspberry Pi, Tinkerboard 2S).
• Experience with build tools (Make, CMake, or Ninja).
• Excellent communication skills.
