About the Job

CatFace has an incredible opportunity for a motivated, experienced, and professional artist whose work will be produced into products and apparel that’ll be seen by our entire audience. 

This position is ideal for an artist with a strong background and skill set in 2D concept art in a fast-paced environment. Our products encapsulate the ideas and stories of our video's content while striving to adhere to quick-moving trends that grab the attention of our audience. Our ideal candidate will possess a sharp eye for color, texture, cute chic, and in-depth texture creation. Along with this skill set, our perfect applicant will be able to adapt our products to the ever-evolving digital content trends. 

This is a fast-paced position and requires an applicant that can adapt quickly and manage your time effectively as well as react rapidly to an ever-changing entertainment industry. Must be able to self-manage when needed. You should be highly collaborative and work well with others to achieve the desired outcome for each assigned project. 

Additionally, you will be a peer partner to our other in-house artists and will need to collaborate well with one another to achieve the desired outcomes for assigned tasks. The ideal candidate must adapt quickly, manage your time effectively, and react rapidly to changing requirements. All candidates must deliver a full resume with art samples to be considered for this position. 

A portfolio review and presentation will be required at the time of the interview. If a resume is approved, an art challenge will follow

What You'll Do

• Partner with the merchandise manager to deliver product, character and apparel concepts. Ex: character concepts, merchandise line presentations, etc. 


• Partner with other artists and merch team members to help take concepts through to the final product. Ex: prototype reviews, production asset creation, etc. 


• When required, be flexible and proactive by becoming involved in other artistic asset creation  


• Collaborate with cross-discipline art peers to build the best product and brand experience possible 


• Work with cross-discipline artists to deliver high-quality art content for packaging, web and many more! 


• Work through ambiguity and be able to self-manage at times  


• Actively provides, seeks out, and incorporates feedback from peers, leads, and directors

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of art production experience


• Experience working with chibi and cute chic art styles 


• Proven work experience as an artist geared towards 2D and character conception


• Strong awareness of YouTube & internet culture and various internet pop culture trends


• Able & willing to keep up with the demands of a fast-moving creative environment and adapt quickly to evolving processes and workflows  


• A positive leader who exemplifies a passion for their work always strives for improvement and instills those same feelings in the production team. 


• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills  


• Proactive, independent, and maintains a tenacious work ethic. 


• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring all deadlines are met appropriately. 


• Experience with YouTube content a plus
