Job Description - Concession Stand Coordinator - Antonian College Preparatory High School


  

Employment Status: Part-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Assistant Athletic Director

Summary:

The Concession Stand Coordinator manages the operations of the concession stand, ensuring smooth service, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service during events.  This role involves coordinating volunteers or staff, handling square machines, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Purchase supplies in bulk utilizing the athletic budget
  • Oversee all activities at the concession stand during events
  • Track and manage inventory, including restocking supplies
  • Schedule school programs to staff events coordinating with Assistant Athletic Director
  • Set up and manage Square POS
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain detailed sales and expense reports
  • Ensure cleaning, food safety, and equipment storage pre-event and post event
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service
  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
  • Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Supports and adheres to the Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
  • Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and takes precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.   
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
  • Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of and the ability to operate a cash register/point of sales system while following established cash handling protocols
  • Knowledge of and the ability to prepare/serve food and drinks following Health Department Standards
  • Knowledge of and the ability to clean and sanitize facilities and equipment to Health Department Standards
  • Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and appliances
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage inventory/purchasing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with the public and team members
  • Ability to motivate, evaluate, and provide corrective action to volunteers
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
  • Ability and flexibility in working varied shifts to accommodate adjustments needed or requested on staffing
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a “can-do” attitude

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education
    • High School diploma
  • License and Credentials
    • Reliable transportation
    • Food Safety Manager Certification required or ability to obtain one within 30 days
